Why you should connect your Google Tasks to Briefmatic
Connecting your Google Tasks to your Briefmatic account allows you to see, review and resolve all your tasks from within Briefmatic or from within a tasks tab if you click on the option to “Go to Item.”
How to connect your Google Tasks profile to Briefmatic
To connect your google drive profile to your Briefmatic account follow these steps;
Go to the Connections tab, click on the “Connect” button on the Google Tasks card and follow the prompts to authorise the connection. Briefmatic requires this approval to be able to scan your google tasks profile to find all your tasks and allow you to view, edit and resolve google tasks from within Briefmatic.
Once the connection is enabled the syncing process will begin in the background and this may take a few minutes to complete depending on the number of google tasks you have.
How does the Google Tasks and Briefmatic connection work?
Action In Briefmatic | Result |
Moving a google task from To Do to Done | Moving a gmail task to Done marks the task as completed in Briefmatic and resolves the task in google tasks |
Moving a google task from Done to To Do or an In-Progress state | Moving a google task to To Do will mark the google task as unresolved and move the task back into your list in google tasks |
Marking a google task as completed | Marking a google task as completed will resolve the task and remove it from your google tasks list and move the task to Done in Briefmatic |
Marking a google task as dismissed | Marking a google task as dismissed will move the task to the dismissed folder in Briefmatic but makes no change to the item in google tasks |
Adding a comment in Briefmatic | Adds a reply to the comment chain in Briefmatic only |
Adding a due date to a google task in Briefmatic | Displays the due date in the List View in Briefmatic but makes no changes to the google task |
Changing the google task title or description | Changes the task title and description in Briefmatic but makes no changes to the google task |
