Why Connect Microsoft Outlook Calendar to Briefmatic?

Briefmatic is designed to bring all your tasks and priorities into one clear view — across every app you already use. For many busy professionals, that includes keeping track of meetings, deadlines, and focus time in Microsoft Outlook Calendar.

By connecting Outlook Calendar with Briefmatic, you’ll unlock:
✅ A unified view of your Outlook events alongside your tasks.
✅ The ability to schedule tasks directly into Outlook Calendar from Briefmatic’s Scheduler tab.
✅ One place to see your work, personal, and project commitments together — so nothing falls through the cracks.

How to Connect Your Outlook Calendar to Briefmatic

Connecting your Outlook Calendar is quick and simple:

  1. Go to the Connections tab.

  2. Find the Outlook Calendar card and click Connect.

  3. Follow the Microsoft login prompts to authorize the connection. Briefmatic will request access to:

    • Your name

    • Email address

    • Time zone & language settings

    • The ability to view and edit calendar events

  4. Once authorized, syncing will start automatically in the background. Depending on the number of events in your Outlook Calendar, this may take a few minutes.

After syncing, head to the Scheduler tab in Briefmatic. From there, you can drag and drop unscheduled tasks straight into your Outlook Calendar — making it easy to protect time for what matters most.

How the Outlook Calendar & Briefmatic Integration Works

Here’s how updates flow between Briefmatic and your Outlook Calendar:

Action in Briefmatic

Result

Moving a task from “To Schedule” into the Scheduler

Creates a new event in Outlook Calendar and removes the task from “To Schedule.”

Deleting a scheduled task in Briefmatic’s Scheduler

Deletes the corresponding event in Outlook Calendar and moves the task to “Dismissed.”

Marking a task as Completed

Updates the task’s status in Briefmatic (e.g. moved to “Done”) but does not alter the Outlook Calendar event.

Editing a task title/description in Briefmatic

Updates the event details in Outlook Calendar if the task is already scheduled.

Editing an event title/description in Outlook Calendar

Updates the corresponding task in Briefmatic.

Tip: Use the Scheduler daily to block out time for your highest-priority tasks. You’ll leave less to chance and create a rhythm that keeps you focused and on track.
